Practical Holistic Herbalism - the ultimate medicine for health, heart and planet.

Updated: Jan 15, 2021

So I've had the pleasure of collaborating with Rachel Corby of Wild Gaian Soul

to bring you a ten month journey with the seasons to learn about the art and science of medicinal plants.

What is Practical Holistic Herbalism?

This course is about looking at the micro and relating it to the macro. Starting with the cells, tissues and structures of the plant kingdom and the body, you will learn about how they both interact to produce health and vitality for us and the planet.

By relating this interaction to the parts of the plants and then the seasons, we gain a deeper understanding of how everything is interconnected, and how we form part of our ecosystem.

Holistic herbalism is a sustainable model for medicine and healthcare. Using our local species for herbal remedies saves on imports and air miles; hedgerow medicines are free and learning how to use them to make your own medicines is a therapeutic and enjoyable process that connects you with your environment on a deeper level.

Why is it important?

We as humans need to feel connection - we are a social species and evidence strongly suggests that when we feel part of something bigger than ourselves, we experience better mental health. Knowing how you are connected to the environment around you can help you develop a sense of happiness and wellbeing.

I'm really excited about this course because it's the first of its kind - combining science and spirituality to help you develop a deeper connection with yourself and your environment.

We created this course with the aim of teaching you everything you need to know to be able to confidently treat yourself and others with medicinal plants. Going through the seasons, each month focuses on a different part of the plant and system of the body.

We integrate anatomy, physiology, practical medicine making, meditation and materia medica to bring you the complete holistic approach for our health and planet.
